Rebecca “Beck” Widner Reddick, 77, departed from her earthly home for her heavenly home on December 7, 2025. She was born on November 25, 1948, to the late Wesley and Juanita Widner of Sardis, Georgia.
Beck was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose life was a testament to faith, family, and devotion. She set a beautiful example of what it means to be a God-fearing Christian woman—always steadfast in her walk with the Lord and deeply committed to those she loved. She was happiest when surrounded by her children and grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent together. Beck enjoyed cooking, shopping, and hosting holidays at her home, where her warmth and hospitality created lasting memories for all who gathered. She was an active member of The Methodist Church of Sardis, where her faith shone through her service and fellowship. She retired from Burke County DFACS after 35 years of service as a bookkeeper.
In addition to her parents, Beck is preceded in death by numerous brothers and- sisters-in-law.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Hubert Reddick; two children, Steve Reddick (Kim) and Lynn Thompson (Tracy); her beloved grandchildren, Brittany, Jackson, Trent, Ashlyn, and Camryn; sisters, Martha Hannah (Johnny), Debra Kile, and Judy Ward (Bill); brother, Glenn Widner (Kathy); and her many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 12:00pm Thursday, December 11 at Sardis Methodist Church with Rev. Roy White, Rev. Sonny Moon, and Rev. Steve Sirmons officiating. Burial will follow at Sardis Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Chip Dixon, Shelton Brigham, Greg Hannah, Robbie Hannah, Daniel Hannah, Jackson Thompson, and Hilton Ward.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sardis Methodist Church.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to her crew from Pruitt Hospice for the kindness and loving care shown during Beck’s journey.
