Rebecca Ann Sample

Rebecca Ann Sample, age 69, of Camden, NC died on Thursday, December 1, 2022. Rebecca was born in Baltimore, MD on July 14, 1953, and raised in Stumpy Point, NC, and was the beloved daughter to Thurston Luttrell Gray, Sr. and Iva Dean Payne Gray. Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Fearing Sample. Rebecca worked and enjoyed waitressing for many years until retirement. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
Rebecca is survived by her daughter, Tabitha Riddle and son, Eric Parks; and her brother, Bruce Lane Gray; and six grandchildren, Stacy Sellers, Carley Riddle, Tony Riddle, Jr., Devin Parks, Gracie Parks, and Brody Riddle; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Dalton Gray, Carroll Gray, and Buddy Gray.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at the Twiford Memorial Chapel.
