Born on Aug. 12, 1943, in Wakefield, Becky was the beloved daughter of Jack and Shirley Ahola. She lived a life rooted in kindness, creativity and deep devotion to her family and community.
Becky was known for her warmth, wit and generous spirit. A lifelong resident of the Upper Peninsula, she dedicated her career years to retail sales at multiple locations with Abelman Clothing in Bessemer being her all time favorite. She touched countless lives along the way. She found joy in her family, watching her reality shows and cheering for the Green Bay Packers. Her home was always open, her table always full and her heart always giving.
Becky is survived by her sons, Eugene "Geno" (Chris) Schlais, Jacksonville, Florida, and Joseph "Joe" (Nicole) Schlais, Great Mills, Maryland; and two grandchildren, Landry and Noah Schlais, both of Great Mills.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 3, at 11 a.m., preceded by visitation at 10:30 a.m., at All Saints Lutheran Church, 1202 Putnam St., in Wakefield, the Rev. Brittany Barkus officiating.
She will be dearly missed but forever remembered for the love she shared and the legacy she leaves behind.
