Jerry Grenfell Obituary

Jerry was born on Sept. 9, 1938, in Bessemer Township, a son of Richard and Grace (Barron) Grenfell. He graduated from A.D. Johnston High School and Michigan Technological University.
Jerry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
At one time, he was the owner of Computer Services in Ironwood, and the treasurer for Bessemer Township.
Jerry is survived by a brother, Richard "Jack" (Dorothy); a sister, Jan (Don) DeWitt; his sister-in-law, Toni Grenfell; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Paul and Nadine Hewitt.
He was preceded in death by his parents; eight sisters, Evelyn (Kauno "Toby") Kahila, Jane (Arvo) Niemi, Cordelia (Lawrence) Johnson, Ethel Grenfell, Carol (Roger) Russell, Marylou (Earl) Brozzo, Gloria (Donald) Wiedemier and Betty Grace, in infancy; and three brothers, Earl (Marge), Tom and Robert.
There will be no funeral service.
Jerry will be laid to rest at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Bessemer.
The family would like to thank Gogebic Medical Care Facility for their professionalism and care to Jerry and to Jerald Rocco for his kindness, compassion and years of friendship.
Jerald Rocco, owner and manager of Lakeside Memorial Chapel Inc., in Wakefield, is assisting the family.
