Rebecca S. Schloss, 71, of Sidney, passed away at her home on February 1, 2025. She was born on July 3, 1953, in Coldwater, Ohio, to the late Eugene and Irene (Meyer) Schmiesing.
Becky is survived by her husband of 52 years, Daniel Walter Schloss, whom she married on January 19, 1973. Together they had 3 children; Robert (Jessica) Schloss of Troy, Sheila (Randy) Bensman of Sidney, and Scott (Amber) Schloss of Anna. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren; Alyssa (Colton) Duckro, Ryan Schloss, Reagan Schloss, McKinley Schloss, Kyle Bensman, Henry Bensman, and Oliver Bensman. She also leaves behind her siblings; Diane (Ralph) Nerderman, Betty (Carl) Hatfield, Terri (Don) Huelskamp, and Christine (Ted) Brandewie, as well as her sister-in-laws; Carol Schloss, and Sherri (Brent) Clay.
Along with her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her mother and father in-law, brother - Anthony "Tony" Schmiesing, sister in-law - Jeannie Olding, and grandson - Ethan Bensman.
Becky graduated from Minster High School in 1971. After high school, she was a homemaker and babysitter for several families before working over 30 years at Amos Press as a customer service manager. Becky and her husband were both faithful members of Holy Angels Catholic Church. Becky enjoyed traveling with her husband Dan, going camping, and spending time with her family. Often times, she spent her time by taking walks, reading, and attending her grandchildren's sporting events.
A visitation will be held for Daniel & Rebecca Schloss at Salm – McGill & Tangeman Funeral Home, on Wednesday – February 12, 2025, from 5-7PM, and on Thursday – February 13, 2025 from 9-10AM. A mass of a Christian burial will follow at Holy Angels Catholic Church at 10:30, with burial following at Shelby Memory Gardens. Funeral Services are in the care of Salm - McGill & Tangeman Funeral Home.
