A Funeral Service officiated by Reverend Corey Campeaux was held at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Vincent Funeral Home of Gueydan honoring the life of Rebecca Smith Vondenstein, 61, who passed away on April 21, 2025. Burial followed at Gueydan Cemetery.
A visitation was held at Vincent Funeral Home of Gueydan on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.
She is survived by her spouse of 21 years, Ricky Vondenstein of Gueydan; her father, Melvin Smith Sr. of Gueydan; one sister, Chantay Abshire (Ryan) of Abbeville; one brother, Melvin Smith Jr. (Margie) of Gueydan, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Martha Marceaux Smith; and two sisters, Melissa LeJeune and Caina Smith.
All funeral arrangements are being conducted by Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan (337) 536-6124.
