Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Matthews Funeral Home in Gueydan, LA for Mr. Mack Johnny Sedatal, 87, who passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the Calcutta House in Lafayette, LA.

The family request that visiting hours be observed at Matthews Funeral Home in Gueydan, LA on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 9:30 AM until the service begins at 2:00 PM. A rosary will be recited at 10:30 AM.

Father Stephen Irudayasamy, HGN, will be officiating his services. Graveside Services will take place in the Gueydan Cemetery immediately following the funeral services.

Mr. Mack was born in Charenton, LA, on October 19, 1938, to the late Mr. Dewey Sedatal of Pierre Part, LA and Mrs. Cecile Alleman Sedatal of Reserve, LA. Mack worked as a commercial fisherman. A beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather whose memory will on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

Mack is survived by his wife, Barbara Sedatal; his daughters, Ruth Truelove, Faith Gary, and Lorena Lowery; one brother, Cal James Sedatal (Donna); fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and fourteen great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Sedatal and Cecile Alleman Sedatal; one son, Jude Anthony Sedatal; two brothers, Joseph Henry Sedatal and Clinton Sedatal; three sisters, Genevieve Arnold, Shirley Mayon and Mary Ann Pelous; as well as two granddaughters, Nyoka Truelove and Michelle Sedatal.
