William James "Billy" Baker Jr.

A Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 6, 2026, for Mr. William "Billy" James Baker, Jr., 63, who passed away on January 14, 2026, in his home in Lake Charles, LA.

Visitation will be held at the Matthews Funeral Home in Gueydan, LA on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 9:00 AM until his service at 11:00 AM, with a rosary recited at 9:30 AM. Reverend Stephen Irudayasamy, HGN will officiate his services.

Inurnment will follow his Memorial Service at the Gueydan Cemetery.

Mr. Billy was born in Gueydan, Louisiana on October 12, 1962, to Mr. William Baker, Sr. and Ms. Rita Campbell Baker. He worked throughout retail industries. Billy greatly enjoyed spending his time with friends. He held a passion for fantasy football, basketball and baseball. He was a proud LSU fan and an avid hunter and fisher. A beloved son, brother and uncle who will be missed by all who knew him.

Billy is survived by his brother, Gil Baker (Monica) of Gueydan, LA; sister, Kathy Richard (Eric); nephews, Benjamin Baker, Isaac Baker (Allie) and Matthew Richard; niece, Cortney Boudreaux (Roderick); great nephews, Dayln Romero and Kylan Romero; great nieces, Evelyn Baker and Kaitlyn Richard.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William James Baker, Sr. and Rita Campbell Baker.
