Rebecca L. Wickizer

Rebecca Lynn Wickizer, 67, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at a Mount Pleasant hospital, surrounded by love and cherished memories.

Born on September 28, 1958, in Greensboro, NC, she was the daughter of James Lemons and Velma Joy Keller Johnson. She found joy in life's simple pleasures-sunny days at the beach, crocheting cozy blankets for those she loved, and gathering family around the table for her famous macaroni, a dish eagerly anticipated by all.

After graduating from high school and completing cosmetology school, Rebecca cut hair for sometime before beginning her career at C.R. Bard from which she retired after many years of service. She loved tending her flowers, watching butterflies and turtles, fishing, camping under the stars, and lingering over meals by the water with family and friends. Rebecca was a devoted mother and grandmother whose love for her family knew no bounds. Her presence will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.

She is survived by her mother of Jefferson City, MO; her daughter, Angela Mills of Moncks Corner; her son, Sheldon Mills and his wife, Nichole of Moncks Corner; her sister, Deborah Prenger of Jefferson City, MO; her brothers, Tony Lemons of Jefferson City, MO, and Eddie Buchanan of Mocksville, NC; six grandchildren-Darius, Joy, Justice, Destiny, Davis, and Abigail Mills; and two great grandchildren who brought her immense joy.

In honor of Rebecca's love for animals, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Berkeley Animal Center, 131 Central Berkeley Drive, Moncks Corner, SC 29461, in lieu of flowers.
