Rebecca Ann "Becky" Willauer passed away on August 3, 2025, after a 7½ year battle with cancer.
Born on November 2, 1957, Becky was the 5th child and only daughter of Ivan and Nancy (McKerlie-Dodds) Willauer. She was a graduate of Marion Harding High School, class of 1976.
When Becky was a teenager she was diagnosed with a brain tumor which resulted in her losing her sight completely in one eye and partially in the other. Despite this, she never let it get her down. She delivered the Marion Star for almost 40 years, as well as the Free/Bag Paper when it was published. She helped with the Pre-School (Cubbies) class of AWANA at Cornerstone Alliance Church for several years. She enjoyed knitting hats on a loom, which she donated to several elementary children around Marion. Becky took part in the Marion Area Low Vision Support Group (Eye to Eye) and was a member of the Marion Senior Center. Becky was also a lifelong Cincinnati Reds fan and would listen to all the games on TV and radio with her sister-in-law, Debbie Willauer, writing the scores down for her. Becky previously attended Marion Christian Center before becoming a member of Smeltzer Road / Cornerstone Alliance Church.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan & Nancy, and 2 brothers, John James "Jimmy" and Timothy and a great-niece Addison Willauer. She is survived by 3 brothers, Nathaniel (Debra) Willauer of
