Reda L. Bainter, age 89, died peacefully on January 24, 2026. She was born December 23, 1936, to Bernard D. And Nellie M. (Shaner) Fox.

Reda is survived by her soulmate/husband, Eugene L. Bainter, Sr., who she was together with for 68 years. Also surviving are two sons, Lee (Tammy) Bainter of Fort Myers Beach, Florida and Daniel (Elizabeth) Bainter of Lancaster, Ohio; grandchildren, Caitlin, Lisa, William, Jonathan and Ashely; and five great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and stepchildren/grandchildren and by special friends, Dewayne and Melinda Arbaugh and their family.

Reda was preceded in death by her parents, and by siblings, James J. Fox and Mary K. Tipple.

She was a 1954 graduate of St. Mary's High School in Lancaster, Ohio.

Together Reda and Gene were blessed with a very full life. They founded Bainter Machining Company in 1971. Together, they spent several years as Boy Scout leaders with Troops 106 and Troop 240 during the 1970's. They also enjoyed dancing together, and playing Bridge, Euchre, and Haasi with friends and family for many years.

Reda found peace when playing the piano and spending time in "Cabin in the Woods," a gift from Gene on their property south of Lancaster.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, between 11:00AM and 1:00PM at Pleasant Chapel Church of God, 3225 Old Mill Road NE, Lancaster, Ohio 43130. A Christian memorial service will be conducted at the conclusion of the visitation.
