Redeana Mae Livingston

Redeana Mae Livingston, 66, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away on August 9, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on March 16, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, to Jessie A. McGhee and Rena Jean McGhee. Redeana was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Louis Livingston, Jr., and by her brother, Jesse McGhee.

Redeana was a woman who spoke her mind and never cared how it came out-because it always came from love. She spoke and gave knowledge in an intelligent way, and her words carried wisdom that blessed those around her. She surrounded herself with laughter, sports, and good food, and her presence brought joy and warmth to everyone who knew her. She loved being a big sister to Jesse and always made sure everyone knew he was her baby brother.

Redeana is survived by:

• Children: Maurice McGhee; Rena (Tavarius) Harris; Joe (Kelly) Livingston III; and Tiffany (Elijah) Lewis

• Stepson: Robert (Dawn) Bates

• Grandchildren: Spirit McGhee, Amauri Livingston, Christian McGhee, Victory Lewis, Kingston Lewis, Taraji Harris, and Thaddeus Lewis

• Step-grandchildren: Ryan Jones, Alexis Bates, and Raye Bates

• Loved ones: Marlene Davis

• Nephew & Nieces: Reese McGhee, Tae McGhee, and Kittie Boyd

• A host of great-nieces, great-nephews, great-grandchildren, and cousins

Her memory will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, family, and friends who loved her dearly.

A memorial service will be held from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Friday, August 22, 2025, at Care Cremation and Funeral Service. 1304 Bryan Avenue, Lexington, Kentucky.
