Redolfo Martinez Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Family Service Funeral Parlor on Mar. 2, 2026.
Redolfo Flores Martinez, 67, of Odessa, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2026. He was born on November 26, 1958, in Big Lake, Texas, to Hilario and Flora (Flores) Martinez. On May 26, 1998, he married the love of his life, Belia Franco, in Odessa. Together they shared nearly 28 beautiful years of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion.

Known lovingly as "Rudy" or "Rofi" to family and friends, Redolfo was a soft-spoken man with a quiet strength that spoke volumes. He was a hardworking jack of all trades who could fix just about anything, but his greatest gift was the way he cared for others. Rudy found joy in the simple things-casting a line while fishing, working on projects around the house, and sitting surrounded by the people he loved most.

He was a Christ-like, loyal, and selfless man who always put others before himself. Rudy had a gentle spirit, a kind heart, and a steady presence that made everyone feel safe and valued. He was the favorite uncle, the one whose home was always open and filled with the laughter of children. His love for his family-especially his brothers-was deep and constant. To know Rudy was to know patience, humility, and unconditional love.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Hilario and Flora Martinez; his beloved son: Rudy Martinez Jr.; his precious grandchild: Alisha La'Shae Williams; his brother,:Ruben Martinez; and his sister: Gloria Martinez. We take comfort in knowing they welcomed him with open arms.

Left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife: Belia Martinez of Odessa; his daughters: Michelle Martinez and spouse Alvin Vera of Amarillo; Stephanie Martinez and partner Fina of San Angelo; Lisa Williams and husband Billy, Marina Martinez and husband Manuel Bordayo, and JoAnna Martinez, all of Odessa. He is also survived by his brother: Ray Martinez of Midland; his sisters: Rosie Torres of San Angelo and Norma Bermea and husband Roy of Midland; 24 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild-all of whom were the pride and joy of his life.

A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Family Services Funeral Chapel in Kermit. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at St. Thomas/St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Kermit Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rudy Martinez, Manuel Bordayo, Billy Williams, Matthew Franco, Jonathon Nunez, and Carlos Martinez. Honorary pallbearers will be Aiden Carrasco, Kaiden De La Paz, Thomas Washington, Paul Hernandez, Esai Lara, Fabian Rodriguez, and Ruben Martinez.

Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the 67 years we were blessed to share with Rudy. His love will remain in the stories we tell, the lessons he taught, and the way he showed us how to live-with humility, faith, and an open heart. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Arrangements are entrusted to Family Services Funeral Parlor and condolences may be sent to the family at www.fs-fp.com.
