Reed Franta Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Snyder Funeral Homes, DeVore Chapel on Dec. 2, 2025.
Reed Adam Franta
Westerville, Ohio
With heavy hearts, the family of Reed Adam Franta announces his passing. Reed touched countless lives in ways words can only begin to describe. His legacy lives on in the memories held by his loved ones.
Reed is survived by his parents, Cindy and Trent Franta; his sister, Erika Curran (Trey Curran); and his brother, Garret Franta (Meghan Franta). He also leaves behind his nieces and nephew, who adored him beyond measure- Penelope and Rexford Curran, and Hope Franta. Reed is additionally survived by his paternal grandparents, Dick and Leatha Franta, and his maternal grandmother, Patricia Moskowitz. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Marshall Moskowitz. Reed also leaves behind his loyal dog, Chance, who was never far from his side.
Reed was more than a son, brother, or uncle, he was a constant source of laughter, comfort, and unwavering love. He had an unmistakable presence that he brought into every room along with the gift for making people feel seen, appreciated, and cared for. Whether he was offering a helping hand, sharing a laugh, or simply being there for someone who needed a friend, Reed gave his whole heart without hesitation.
A celebration of Reed's life will take place on Sunday, December 7th, at the Berkshire Township Office Community Center, 1454 Rome Corners Road, Galena, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather, share stories, and honor the remarkable life of a man who meant so much to so many.
Reed will be deeply, painfully missed - by his parents, his siblings, his nieces, his nephew, and the countless others whose lives were brightened by his own.
Reed cared deeply for animals, particularly his rescue dog, Chance. In keeping with his values, the family kindly requests no flowers or trees. Memorial gifts may instead be made to the Humane Society of Delaware County, 4920 OH-37, Delaware, Ohio 43015.
