Regan Lee Eardley, 62, of Meridian, Idaho, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025, at Cascadia of Boise in
Boise, Idaho. He was born August 22, 1963, in
Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Robert Leon and CoDele Eardley.
Regan graduated from Cottonwood High School in Murray, Utah, in 1982 and served a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Oakland, California. He later met his sweetheart, Teresa Ann Hofhine, and they were sealed for eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple on July 17, 1987. They lived in Mesa, Arizona, from 1988 until 2006, when they moved to Meridian, Idaho.
He spent the majority of his career with the United States Post Office in Phoenix, Arizona, and
Boise, Idaho, retiring in 2019. He then worked for Kendall Ford in Meridian, Idaho, until November 2022, when a tragic fall resulted in a spine injury and loss of mobility. For the last three years, he fought valiantly to regain strength and maintain his quality of life.
Regan wholeheartedly loved his family. He was a kind-hearted and devoted husband, father, son, and brother who always offered support and encouragement to those he loved. What he cherished most was spending time with his family-being together, laughing, and enjoying one another's company. He loved listening to classic rock, drinking chocolate milk, eating hamburgers, watching sports, particularly the Denver Broncos and Boise State Broncos, and sharing time with the family pets.
He also loved being around people and sharing stories with enthusiasm. Regan loved the Lord and served faithfully in many callings, most recently as a ward librarian, where he was always a warm and happy presence. He and Teresa served a service mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with Boise Idaho Pathways from January 2019 to January 2021.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 38 years, Teresa Eardley, and his daughters, Amanda (Brett) Webster and Sarah (Talmage) Porter. He is also survived by his mother, CoDele Cook Eardley Ridd, and his siblings, Denise Lambert (John), Rand Eardley (Kristi), Kip Eardley, and Leesa Corkrey, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Kimberlee Ann Eardley, and his father, Robert Leon Eardley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on December 29, 2025, at the LDS church building located at 1695 E Amity Rd,
Meridian, ID 83642. The family will receive friends prior to the services beginning at 10:00 a.m. He will be buried at Dry Creek Cemetery in
Boise, Idaho. The family expresses deep appreciation to the many outstanding and dedicated health care professionals who cared for Regan, especially the loving staff at Cascadia of Boise.
