Regan passed away quietly in his sleep on October 19 th . He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Laura, his sons Ryan(Fiancé Sheila) and Nicholas. He is also survived by his mother Joan, his grandchildren Riley, Shyanne, Jaxon and Kayden; his sisters Shevawn Weber and Caroline Curtis; many brothers and sisters-in-laws; a ton of nieces and nephews; and a million friends and other distant relatives –also his cats Colby and Jack. He loved Christmas when Laura had her family over on the Eve and at his mother’s on Christmas Day. Regan and Laura got married in his parent’s back yard with his best friend Quinn as his best man and best buddy forever. Quinn passed away within a year.
Regan was born in Davenport, Iowa, on November 9, 1961. The family moved to Glen Ellyn in 1968 and Regan attended Hawthorne School, Hadley Junior High and Glenbard West High School. Regan loved cars, which got him in lots of trouble as a teen. He especially loved the Dukes of Hazard! He went to work mainly towing cars and many years worked at West and Sons. Regan loved his high school friends – mainly the girls – and they always included him in their get-togethers. They also included Laura and sometimes she would join them too. I think his greatest love, after Laura, was his grandchildren. Even while ill he always waited for them to come and see him.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Regan on Saturday, November 1st from 12 to 4pm at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapel, 450 W Lake St, Roselle, IL The family hopes people will come and share their memories. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family or to the Glendale Heights ICNA Relief Food Pantry, 1781 Bloomingdale Rd, Glendale Heights, IL 60139.
