Ms. Regenia Mae Newton, age 74 passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024, in Anderson, South Carolina.
Ms. Regenia Mae Newton was born on January 9, 1950, in Hartwell, GA to the late James & Katie Mae Newton. She departed this life on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at the Rainey Hospice House located in Anderson, SC.
Regenia joined the Hartwell First Baptist Church at an early age. She enjoyed traveling, her church family and her spending time with her children.
Preceding her in death are parents, sisters: Shirley Sadler and Sarah Newton. One brother: James Newton Jr.
Regenia leaves to cherish her memories: One son: Timothy Newton. Three Sisters: Carrie C. Simmons of Hempstead, NY, Debra Newton & Vickie Barnes of Hartwell, GA. One Brother: Donald Lee Newton. One Aunt: Minnie Marshall of Cleveland, OH. Two Grandchildren: Timothy Newton Jr. & Katelyn Newton. One Stepdaughter: Shania Brown. One Step-Grandson: Kason Smith. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Two special friends, Mrs. Earlene Jones Oglesby & Ms. Loretta Cureton.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024, from 12:00 - 8:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Hartwell Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 1:00pm, located at First Baptist Church - Hartwell, GA.
Interment service will follow the funeral service at Cedar Springs Baptist Church - Hartwell, GA.
We ask that you keep the Newton family in your thoughts and prayers.
