Regina Ann Figge, of Covington, Georgia, passed away on September 19, 2025, at the age of 64. She leaves behind a legacy of deep love, laughter, and selfless devotion to her family and friends.
Born on October 27, 1960, Regina was known for her huge heart, her sense of humor, and her joyful, humble spirit. She was easygoing, always ready with a joke or a kind word, and found happiness in the simple things—especially time with family and a good day of fishing.
Regina was preceded in death by her parents, Byron “Jim” Plunkett and Mary Plunkett; her brothers, Ernest Plunkett and Henry Plunkett; her son, Joshua David Figge; and her beloved grandchild, Skylor Whisenhunt.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 27 years, David Figge. Regina also leaves behind her siblings: Edith and Johnny Norrell, Elvin Plunkett, Judy Lantrip, and Jed Plunkett. Her love continues through her children, John Daniel, Danny and Meghan Daniel, LaShay and Michael Anglin, Christina and Justin Williams, and Matthew Figge. She was a proud grandmother to Trece Daniel, Isaiah Daniel, Raven Daniel, Destiny Daniel, Ty Daniel, Matthew Walls, Caden Montgomery, Maximus Daniel, Ayden Daniel, James Daniel, Sebastian Anglin, Dayton Jones, Christopher Jones, Raychel Jones, Genavieve Whisenhunt, Stella Whisenhunt, Daniel Whisenhunt, Isabella Figge, Karen Gordon, John Bowden, Joshua Figge, and Noah Figge. Regina was also blessed to be a great-grandmother to River Daniel.
Regina will be remembered as someone who lit up every room she entered. She adored her family and found joy in every hug, every laugh, and every moment shared together. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Regina Figge will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025, 11:00 A.M. at Lawnwood Memorial Park, 1111 Access Road, in Covington, with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.
