Regina Chicka Obituary

Regina B. 'Flash' (Brahosky) Chicka, 79, of Forbes Road, rode her motorcycle into Heaven on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025, from Westmoreland Hospital. She was born Sept. 7, 1946, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Joseph V. and Mary Caralli Brahosky. She was a member of St. Bartholomew Church and, at one time, served as president of the Rosary Altar Society. Regina volunteered at Bingo and later enjoyed time with children as a nanny. After graduating from Greensburg Salem High School in 1964, she lived in Daytona Beach for nearly ten years and worked as a bank teller. While in Daytona, she volunteered to talk to local high schools with the state police about the importance of motorcycle safety. She also worked as a teller for Southwest Bank in Greensburg for a time and later cherished her time with children as a nanny. She loved butterflies and attended many releases at the Greensburg Garden Center. Her main passion was riding her Harley-Davidson from nineteen until her mid-60s. She is survived by three siblings, Rebecca Answine (Richard) and Joseph Brahosky (Brenda), both of Greensburg, and Renata Pytlak (Robert) of Delmont; a niece, Ashley Gibson (Jake) of Pittsburgh; a nephew, Zachary Answine (Briana) of Greensburg; many cousins; her longtime companion, Alan 'Doc' Medlock; and her cat, Cypress. Relatives and friends of Regina will be received from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, 2025, in CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, (724)-837-0020. Prayers of transfer will be said in the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22, 2025, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 22, 2025, in the St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree, with Fr. Justin Matro, OSB, celebrating. Per Regina's request, please feel free to wear blue jeans and butterflies. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. The family would like to offer special thanks to the Forbes Road and Hannastown VFD for their services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the VFW Post 33, 516 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601. Regina's family has entrusted her care to the PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., Greensburg. For online condolences/directions, visit us at pantalone.com. Natale N.
