Regina M. (Madigan) Kutruff, 86, Altoona, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 2, 2024 at UPMC Altoona, surrounded by her family. She was born in June 5, 1937, Amsbry, the eldest of 14 children to late parents, Thomas and Marie (Beiswenger) Madigan. Her loving husband, Herbert J. Kutruff, preceded her in death. They married at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Ashville, on October 3, 1959. Surviving are her children: Anne Marie (Timothy) Longwill, Stephen (Cindy) Kutruff and Rebecca (Jeff) Knott, all of Altoona, and Michele (Blaine) Oubre, of Richmond, Texas; grandchildren: Kevin (Kathryn) Longwill, Douglas (Tara) Longwill, Randy Longwill, Cory Kutruff, Megan Kutruff, Emily (Brock) Hettinger, Jessica (Nate) Bowen, Ryan Knott, Deker (Katie) Oubre and Renn (Tayler) Oubre; great-grandchildren: Eliza Longwill, Archer Longwill, Landon Hettinger, Carson Hettinger, Avery Bowen and William Oubre. Regina was a graduate of Mount Aloysius Academy, Cresson, and worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone and Verizon. Regina was a member of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and family. Regina was a member of the Bavarian Aid Society, where she liked to play bingo. She also loved watching sports on TV and planting flowers. Friends and family will be received from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Jones Funeral Home, Altoona. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona, with Monsignor Stanley Carson as celebrant.
