Regina Christine Mangum

Regina Christine Mangum (née Greer), age 78, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri. Born on March 22, 1947, in Morrilton, Arkansas, she lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to her family.
Regina was the beloved wife of Robert Roy Mangum. Their marriage spanned an extraordinary 59 and a half years-a bond marked by deep affection and unwavering companionship. As Robert lovingly shared, "Being married to her was the best 59 1/2 years anyone could have. I will always love her." Regina's greatest joy came from caring for her home and family, a role she cherished above all others.
She was the proud mother of Michael Mangum and his partner Craig. Visiting them brought her immense happiness; their time together was filled with warmth and connection. Craig became more than just family through partnership-he became like a second son to Regina.
Regina is survived by her husband, Robert and son, Michael, sister Elizabeth Ann Greer of Riverside, California; brothers Thomas Issac Greer of San Diego, California; Eldon Lee Greer of Springfield, Missouri; and Lewis Beecher Greer of Republic, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Greer and Edna Faye Greer (née Young).
Her educational journey took her from Morse High School in San Diego, California to Chaffrey College in Alta Loma, California. Regina's professional life included roles at Sears Department Store in San Diego and David & Margaret Youth and Family Services in La Verne. Later in life, she worked at Disney World's Epcot Center in Orlando, Florida-an experience that added a touch of magic to her career path.
Though she held several jobs over the years, Regina often said that her favorite job was taking care of her home and family. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond the walls of her house-she loved going places, visiting with loved ones, and celebrating life through gatherings with family. Her joyful presence lit up every room she entered.
Regina had a special gift for making people feel loved. She embraced everyone with open arms and an open heart-and those who knew her returned that love tenfold.
Robert knows that at this time, Regina "is up above watching us all."
