Regina Faye Holland Nash, born on September 10, 1950, in Madison, Tennessee, passed away at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, on June 8, 2025. She was a remarkable woman whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many.
Regina's professional journey began when she graduated from Greenbrier High School. Throughout her life, she worked diligently as a Secretary, ultimately serving as Secretary for the President at the Frist Foundation. Her dedication to her work was matched only by her commitment and devotion to her family, friends and church family. For over 50 years, she was not only a dedicated member at Lights Chapel Baptist Church, where her love for the Lord shone brightly but served as their secretary for many years as well.
Those who knew Regina will remember her as a kind, loving, and fiercely independent spirit. She was known for her selflessness, always ready to lend a helping hand or give anything she had to those in need. Her husband, Allen, once humorously remarked that she would give "the girls" the kitchen sink if she could, illustrating her generous heart.
Regina had an array of interests and things that brought her immense joy to include singing gospel music, getting a pedicure and manicure regularly, eating "Margaret" cake, and shopping, especially online shopping. For several years, she sang with members of the family in the gospel group "The Heaven Heirs" in which she took great joy. Her day often began with a trip to Sonic for a Route 44 Diet Coke, a small pleasure that set the tone for her busy days. Travel was another of her passions, whether it be memorable little weekend trips with her beloved husband, Allen, or week long trips with her daughter and granddaughter. She cherished her girls' trips, and loved spending time with the three of them.
She is survived by her husband of 56 Years, Allen S. Nash, Jr. and daughter, Tina Nash (Bryan) Williams. She adored her granddaughter, Morgan Raymer (Logan) Vaughn, investing her love and attention into her life. In recent months, Regina experienced the joy of welcoming her great-granddaughter, Heidi Lynn Vaughn, into the family, bringing her happiness that knew no bounds. Her close-knit family also included siblings Wanda (David) Coulter and Charles "Deanie" (Rhonda) Holland, step-grandchildren, Briley and Emma Adcock alongside a host of nephews and nieces who looked up to her deeply.
In her quieter moments, Regina found delight in relaxing at home, often curled up while playing Candy Crush along with enjoying her favorite television shows like Law & Order, The King of Queens, or keeping up with the drama of Days of Our Lives.
Regina is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ethel Holland, and a sister, Diana Grady. Her legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering loyalty will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege to know her.
Regina Faye Holland Nash was a beacon of hope and love, dedicated wife, devoted mother, doting grandmother, and loyal friend. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she has touched.
