Regina Pecotte, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 21st, 2026, at the age of 91. A long-time resident of Plattsburgh, NY, Regina was born on Thursday, March 14th, 1935, in the quaint town of Duryea, PA.
Regina was a cherished member of the community, known for her compassionate nature and dedication to helping others. She graduated from Duryea High School and devoted much of her career to serving as a Nurses Aide at Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Plattsburgh along with working at Montgomery Ward, her gentle touch and kind heart left a lasting impact on those she cared for and worked with.
A devoted family woman, Regina was predeceased by her beloved parents, Edward and Anna Ososki; her dear sisters, Marion Kunffke and Mildred Ososki; and her loving husband, Harry Pecotte. She is survived by her son, Harry Pecotte, and daughter-in-law Jaime Pecotte, daughter, Melanie Saari and son-in-law Garry Saari. Regina's legacy continues through her grandchildren: Samantha Pecotte, Garry M Saari, Charles Picotte, Brian Saari, Andrew Picotte, Edward Picotte, Christopher Picotte, Thomas Picotte, and her great-grandchildren, Ethan Saari, Logan Saari, and Madeline Picotte. She is also remembered with love by her granddaughters-in-law Tiffany Saari, Jocelyn Saari, and Marylou Picotte.
Regina found great joy in gardening and treasured the moments spent with family and friends. Her garden was a place of beauty and peace, much like the warmth she brought to those around her.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh, New York, on Friday, April 3rd, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A funeral service will follow from 12:00 pm to 12:15 pm at the same location. Arrangements are under the care of Brown Funeral Homes - Plattsburgh.
