Reginald Glynn "Reggie" Salloum

Memorial Services for Reginald "Reggie" Glynn Salloum, age 81, of Carriere, MS who passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025 will be held, Friday, May 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be held, Friday, May 23, 2025 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at McDonald Funeral Home.
Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
A native of Picayune, MS, Reggie was more than intelligent. He was a brilliant man. A man with many talents. He enjoyed traveling, reading, writing, drawing (sketching), classic movies ("October Sky"), music, sports, a game of chess, and especially a fascination with everything connected to space in the universe.
Reggie's career of 29 years with NASA's Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans for both Martin Marietta and Lockheed Martin was a Quality Engineer as a Chemical Microscopist on the Space Shuttle program. His position brought him closer to where he had always wanted to be since a very young child.
He received many prestigious awards from the McCrone Institute in Chicago as well as NASA for his dedication, diligence, and contributions.
Reggie is a Child of GOD. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Picayune in his younger years and was a devoted, caring, loving, and faithful son, brother, and husband.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alias Lee Salloum and Marie Necaise Salloum; brother, Marion Lee (Betty) Salloum.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving and caring wife, Yolanda Maldonado Salloum; children, Patrick Gilliand, Elizabeth (Tammy) Gilliand; caring and loving grandchildren; great grandchildren; special nieces & nephews, close cousins, and friends.
