Reginald Webster Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by K.L. Brown Memory Chapel - Anniston on Mar. 27, 2026.
The funeral service for Mr. Reginald J. Webster, Sr. (Haroon Alrashid), 74, of Anniston, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens.

Mr. Webster passed away on March 26, 2026, at UAB Hospital.

Mr. Reginald Webster, Sr. was born to the parentage of Gladys and John Webster on February 9, 1952. Both parents, who preceed him in death, created a home for their family in the Robert Taylor projects of Chicago, IL, where Reginald was born and raised. Everyone who knew Mr. Webster knew that his heart was anchored to the "Windy City". Gladys and John gifted our family with five beautiful children: Dorothy, Milton, Ruby, Kenneth, Sr., and our beloved, Reginald, Sr. Each sibling preceded Mr. Webster in death.

Mr. Webster found his bride early in life. On January 29, 1971, he married his childhood sweetheart, Mrs. Regina Webster. Regina and Reginald began their family in 1968 with the birth of their daughter, Wakina Wester, and again in 1972, with the birth of their son, Reginald Webster, Jr.

Reginald decided at a young age to join the Nation of Islam where he found peace and solitude in Islamic studies.

Mr. Webster was a man of great character and was proud of his loving family. His grandchildren were the light of his life and his great grand girls were his pride and joy.

Mr. Webster was also a proud veteran and began his military career at the age of 29 at Fort Bragg, NC as a military policeman and retired as a drill sergeant at Fort McClellan, AL.

Mr. Webster will be missed immensely not only his family but also his friends and his beloved brethren of the Islamic Community. "Pops" and "Granddaddy" were beloved terms of endearments by which he was known by all who loved him.

We love you and you will be truly missed.

Mr. Webster is survived by his spouse, Regina Webster; his children, Wakina Webster and Reginald Webster, Jr., and his wife, Brava McGraw; grandchildren, Lakeisha Webster, Akeem Webster, Keosha Murphy, Chris English, Alex Teague, Ryan Teague, V.J. Bowden, Trey Webster, Breya McGraw, Kingston Hughley, Kaeleigh Jones, Kendra Mixon, Damita Curry, and Garron Mixon; great grandchildren, Serenity Jackson, Hope Webster, Denahja Curry, Ke'Narri Curry, Amelia Mack, Mekhi Mixon, Ke'Turah Mixon, and Giselle Mixon; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
