Reinhard Bandowski

Reinhard Bandowski, of Rolla, MO, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the age of 86, seven days after his beloved wife, Ingrid.

He was born in December 18, 1938 in Tapiau, Russia to the late Gerhard Bandowski and Erma (Strizel) Bandowski. On December 10, 1961, he married Ingrid Brigitte (Lortz) Bandowski in Los Angeles, California. She preceded him in death on August 27, 2025.

In addition to his parents and wife, Ingrid, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Wolfgang Bandowski, Victor Bandowski, and Klaus Bandowski.

Reinhard was a member of the New Apostolic Church in Rolla. He was very active in the church by mowing or doing anything needed. He enjoyed working on antique cars and attending car shows. His hobbies included doing yard work, reading and watching western movies.

Reinhard will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes: three sons, Michael Bandowski and wife, Amy, of Union, MO, Gert Bandowski, of Rolla, MO, and Richard Bandowski and wife, Tiffany, of Rolla, MO; a daughter, Petra Hill and husband, Jeff, of Union, MO; one brother, Karl-Heinz Bandowski of Spain; three sisters, Hannelore Bandowski, Irmgard Megnin, and Marianne Rudnik; all of Germany; ten grandchildren, Maddy, Audrey, Emma, Matthew, Brandon, Hannah, Megan, Chauncey, Kirsten, and Bethany; and four great grandchildren, Layla, Andrew, Wyatt, and Sybil.

A memorial service for Reinhard Bandowski will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at the New Apostolic Church in Doolittle. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the church.
