Services for Ms. Rejeania Sharp Gardner will be held 2 pm, Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Milling Funeral Home of Sebastopol with burial in the Morrow Cemetery. Eulogy will be given by her granddaughter, Roxanne Oakley.
Visitation will be held 1 pm – 2 pm, Thursday at Milling Funeral Home of Sebastopol.
Rejeania Sharp Gardner, 98, passed away March 17, 2025, after a brief illness.
She was born in Sebastopol, MS on October 9, 1926, to Woodley Thomas Sharp & Lessie Lee Johnson Sharp. She married Marshall Lamar Gardner on August 15, 1945, the day WWII was over, while he was home on leave from the Navy. Rejeania worked for South Central Bell in Jackson, The MS Capitol in the Insurance Department, and was a secretary to Lt. Gov. Evelyn Gandy. She enjoyed working in her yard and often referred to it as "dirt therapy". She loved telling stories of her life, visiting with her family and friends, and was a member of Sebastopol Baptist Church.
Rejeania is survived by her daughter, Wanda Gardner Harden of Hattiesburg; a daughter-in-law, Lyndell Crawford Gardner, of Loudon, TN; four grandchildren, Roxanne Mabry Oakley (Greg) of Guntown, MS, Dr. Angela Gardner Keeton (Dr. Rob Keeton) of Knoxville, TN, Dr. Ted G. Harden, II (Dr. Emily Harden) of Hattiesburg, and Jason Gardner of Loudon, TN; four great grandchildren, Tripp Keeton, Wyatt Keeton, Laney Harden and Teddi Kate Harden; and several nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Gardner; her son, Randall M. Gardner, and her siblings.
