Remi Greer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tasker Funeral Home - Dover on Sep. 8, 2025.
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts, the family of Remi Gavin Greer must announce his unthinkable passing at age 18. He and his sister, Mackenzie Kaitlin Greer, unexpectedly and tragically passed together on September 3rd, 2025.

Remi was a kind hearted young man who was always there for a person in need. He was the first one to offer help in any situation. He took great joy in making sure things were taken care of - a broken vacuum, a squeaky hinge, someone in need of a bear hug. Remi always had it handled. He was a thoughtful and brilliant man who just wanted to see those he loved happy. With an inquisitive mind, he was someone who always took on a challenge or a puzzle (from highly complex mechanical issues or just building with Legos).

Remi was a lover of many things, most notably, fishing with the men in his life. He and his dad had spent some really great time out on the water and were looking forward to going out again. Remi was just getting started in life, developing new hobbies. He had recently borrowed his mom's camera and was trying out photography. His subjects of choice were classic cars, nature, and architecture. He was developing quite an eye for it. He also had recently started getting back into playing guitar.

With immense strength, he was a skilled weight lifter. He had been building strength and was focusing on improving. He used his power for good, mostly to give excellent hugs or to throw his dog's toys as far as they could go. He loved his two dogs, Zeke and Moxie. They were his "furry siblings" and they all loved to run and play together.

Remi was a wonderful younger brother to his beloved sister, Mackenzie. While he would joke otherwise, he was always trying to get her to laugh. He would tease her and get on her nerves jokingly, but at the end of the day, the two of them would be spending it together. He was so proud of his sister and all of her art. He would have done anything to protect her and keep her happy.

Remi was predeceased by his two beloved grandmothers, Linda Perkins and Jean Vetter, as well as his uncle Russell D. Greer. Remi is survived by his loving parents, Jodie and Jason Greer, his maternal grandfather, Charles F. Vetter, Uncle and Aunts, Michelle and Leo Trainor and Charles and Amy Vetter, as well as his cousins, Chandler (his fiance, Julia and their daughter, Lillian), Gwendolynn, Riley, Jayson, Amelia, Piper, and Olivia.

Friends are invited to visit with Remi and Mackenzie's family on Friday, September 12th from 4pm to 6pm in the Tasker Funeral Home at 621 Central Ave, Dover, NH 03820.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 13th at 11am in the Tasker Funeral Home at 621 Central Ave, Dover, NH 03820.

The family asks that you honor Remi in whatever way makes sense for you, whether it be spending time in the great outdoors, sitting and having good conversation while fishing, or helping out a friend in need. Remi wanted everyone to find peace in every corner of their lives.

Mere words can't express the complete shock and deepest sorrow I've felt since learning of Remi's (and Mackenzie's) passing. I was introduced to Remi at work by his sister, Mackenzie. He worked in a different department than I did, so I didn't know him well, but I could tell he was cut from the same cloth as Mackenzie; that is, he was a very gentle, helpful, and hardworking young man. Like his sister, he interacted with others -- both young and old alike -- with such care and compassion. Both he and his sister adored each other, and it was sweet to witness. Sincerest condolences to the Greer family; I'm truly sorry for your loss.
