Remy was born on October 26,1964, in Nice, France.
The Gentis family including mother Gladys, father Jean-Claude and their two sons, Thierry and Remy; moved to the United States in 1969. They lived in Wilmington, where Remy graduated from Wilmington High School with the Class of 1982.
In his younger years, Remy received many art awards and High Honors at the High School. He also is remembered by his family for the Character Award he received at the West Intermediate School.
