Obituary of Rena Meadows
Mrs. Rena Meadows, age 87 a resident of Auburndale, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 27, 2023. Mrs. Meadows was born June 20, 1936 in Cottonwood, Alabama to John Wester and Mildred (McCoy) Riddley. Rena loved serving as a member of Carter's Baptist Church in Lakeland, Florida, and enjoyed her hobbies of quilting and gardening. Rena loved cooking for her family and spending time with them. Rena was preceded in death by her parents, John Wester and Mildred Riddley and brother, Ellis Ray Riddley. Rena is survived by her beloved husband, Collis Wayne Meadows; 3 sons - Tim (Tammy) Meadows, Mitchell (Judy) Meadows, and Manuel Meadows; and 1 daughter, Sheila (Ronnie) Berry. Rena also leaves behind to cherish her memory; 8 grandchildren - Samantha, Wayne, Scott, Dana, Audra, Stephanie, Mitch and Sarah; also 19 great grandchildren - Breanna, Faith, Wyatt, Weston, Trenton, Eli, Cypress, Noah, Alice, Bryce, Saulyer, Asher, Abbey, Trey, Madden, Camdyn, Riley, Landen, and Reid. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 2 at Carter's Baptist Church, 4915 US-92 East, Lakeland with Reverend Greg Wilkerson officiating as well as assisting clergy, Pastor Bob Burchfield. Visitation will begin at 10am at the church for friends and family to gather. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park. The family thanks you for your support.
