Renae A. Davis, age 64, of South Saint Paul, MN, passed away peacefully on May 31st, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and friends in St. Paul, MN.
Born on August 31, 1960, in Red Lake, MN, Renae was adopted by Melvin and Agnes Benson at a young age. She grew up in South Saint Paul and graduated from South Saint Paul High School, forging lifelong friendships and memories.
Renae is remembered for her love and passion to help and care for others. With a huge heart, she impacted many people and families in a profound way. She pursued higher education while raising her two children, Anthony Davis and Lawrence Bildeau, and graduated with a Master's degree in Social Work from the College of St. Catherine.
Renae dedicated over 20 years to the St. Paul Public School district's Indian Education Program, leaving a lasting legacy. Her strength, determination, and compassion inspired countless individuals. Renae was a devoted grandmother to Keira and Lawrence Jr. and Kariah. She loved spending time with her family, fishing, and creating cherished memories.
Survived by sister Kaylynn Davis, significant other Michael Stone,sons Anthony Davis & Lawrence Bildeau Sr.,and grandchildren, Keira,Lawrence Jr & Kariah. As well as many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by Adoptive parents Melvin and Agnes Benson, Brother John Nelson
A celebration of Renae's life will be held at Summit Funeral and Cremation services in Inver Grove Heights, MN, on June 11th, 2025, from 4 pm to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, And anyone who'd like to share stories or speak on behalf of Renae is welcomed. The family kindly requests that you bring a dish to pass and consider making a donation to help with expenses.
