Rene David Estacio, a cherished figure known for his warm smile and generous spirit, passed away on November 20, 2025, at the age of 70 in Winchester, KY. He was born on December 14, 1954, to the late Nicasio Estacio and Regina Samson Estacio in Candaba, Philippines, a place he held dear throughout his life.
Rene was the beloved husband of Josefina Estacio, with whom he shared a loving marriage filled with laughter and enduring companionship. Together, they raised a family of resilience and love, encapsulated by their children Jeffrey, Rhenan, Rieiner Fitzgerald, Ren Joseph, John Kelvin, and Lovely Joy, who will forever remember their father's guiding hand and heartwarming presence.
His teaching career was marked by a profound dedication to education and the well-being of his students. As a public-school teacher, he implored his students to cultivate a love for learning and to strive for excellence. Rene's colleagues and the countless young lives he touched will fondly recall his steadfast commitment to education. He was a devout Catholic. He served as an Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Eucharist for 18 years at Our Lady of Lourdes in Angeles City, Philippines. He found a deep fulfillment in bringing the Holy Eucharist to the sick and dying.
Rene's life was a tapestry of simple pleasures and profound commitments. He was a man who found joy in the tranquility of nature through his love of fishing, gardening, and farming. Evenings would find him contentedly cleaning his den or immersed in the latest films or television shows, a smirk of amusement and wonder often playing on his lips. These passions, shared with family and friends, transformed everyday moments into cherished memories.
Those who knew Rene appreciated the purity of his pastimes, understanding that these interests were channels for his engagement with life and for the values he espoused: patience, devotion, and the rewards of tending to things that grow and thrive.
As we bid farewell to a soul whose life was a testament to kindness, commitment, and love, we are reminded of the enduring legacy he leaves behind. While the world may be dimmer without Rene's bright light, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of those he loved and all who were privileged to know him.
Rene David Estacio's journey through life was one of purpose and joy. He will be profoundly missed and eternally admired, not merely for his deeds but for the mighty heart from which those actions flowed. His memory will be a beacon that continues to inspire and guide us through our own paths. May he rest in peace, knowing the immense love and respect that he has garnered will be his everlasting epitaph.
