Susan Lynn Hong

HONG--- Mrs. Susan Lynn Pence Hong, age 75 of Tampa, Florida passed away on February 1, 2026. Susan was born on November 16, 1950 in Paris, Kentucky, daughter of Stanton Pence and Averil Maye Pence. She attended Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky. While attending college, she met and married Dae Shik Hong, a Morehead State University student from Seoul, South Korea. Susan and Dae were married for 25 years until his death in 1996. Susan was a homemaker for her two children, providing much love and guidance for them throughout the years.

Susan is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Sue Hong Brumage (son-in-law Scott Brumage) of Tallahassee, FL; one son, David Stanton Hong (daughter-in-law Erica Hernandez-Hong) of Valrico, Florida; two granddaughters, Glory Rose Hong and Ruby Lynn Hong of Valrico, Florida; her sister, Anna Pence Kellum of Hamilton, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Susan was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who loved unconditionally. She was a kind woman who was there to support her loved ones, providing guidance and inspiration for all who knew her. Her kindness, love of life, and laughter will be missed.

Funeral services in celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday February 13, 2026 in the chapel of Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL with Rev. Ronnie Fowler officiating. Entombment will follow in the Sermon on the Mount at Jacksonville Memory Gardens. Family members and friends will gather from 1:00 PM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
