Es con profunda tristeza e inmenso amor que anunciamos el fallecimiento de René "Cari" Grimaldo, quien partió de esta vida después de las lesiones sufridas en un accidente automovilístico en Wilmer, Texas, el 20 de agosto de 2025, a la edad de 42 años. René nació el 2 de febrero de 1983 en la Ciudad de México, México, de padres Gelacio Grimaldo y Ma de Fátima Jaramillo Grimaldo.

El amor de René por la música era contagioso y, a menudo, se le podía encontrar tocando la batería, un instrumento que le permitía expresar su energía y ritmo. A René le gustaba hacer nuevos platos para pasar el tiempo con sus hijos y su familia. René era una persona amigable. También le gustaba lucir siempre lo más limpio y elegante posible.

Su papel como hombre de familia era primordial; Era un esposo devoto, un padre cariñoso, un hijo amado, un hermano cariñoso y un tío amante de la diversión. Su presencia en las reuniones familiares fue una fuente de consuelo y alegría, y su ausencia se sentirá profundamente en el corazón de la mesa familiar.

A René le sobreviven su amada esposa Maria Grimaldo; hijos, Jonathan, Jovanny y Joseph Grimaldo; padres, Gelacio y Ma de Fatima Grimaldo; y sus hermanas, Norma Grimaldo Ramírez y su esposo Raúl, y Gabriela Grimaldo. También deja atrás a sus sobrinas y sobrinos, Raúl Ramírez, Jr., Leslie Ramírez, Ariana Ramírez, Paola Grimaldo y su primo Noe Grimaldo, junto con muchos otros familiares y amigos.

El domingo 24 de agosto de 2025 a las 6:00 p.m. se llevará a cabo una vigilia y el rezo del Santo Rosario, seguido de una visita con la familia en la residencia de los Grimaldo, ubicada en 4750 S. State Highway 19, Palestine, Texas.

It is with deep sadness and immense love that we announce the passing of Rene "Cari" Grimaldo, who departed this life after injuries sustained from an automobile accident in Wilmer, Texas, on August 20, 2025, at the age of 42. Rene was born on February 2, 1983, in Mexico City, Mexico, to parents Gelacio Grimaldo and Ma de Fatima Jaramillo Grimaldo.

Rene's love for music was infectious, and he could often be found playing the drums, an instrument that allowed him to express his energy and rhythm. Rene liked to make new dishes to pass the time with his children and family. Rene was a friendly person. He also liked to always look as clean and elegant as possible.

His role as a family man was paramount; he was a devoted husband, a nurturing father, a beloved son, a caring brother, and a fun-loving uncle. His presence at family gatherings was a source of comfort and joy, and his absence will be profoundly felt at the heart of the family table.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Sostenes Grimaldo, and Juan Jaramillo; his grandmothers, Maria Asencion Garcia, and Ignacia Rodriguez; and his brother, Jose "Jefe" Sostenes Grimaldo.

Rene is survived by his loving wife Maria Grimaldo; sons, Jonathan, Jovanny, and Joseph Grimaldo; parents, Gelacio and Ma de Fatima Grimaldo; and his sisters, Norma Grimaldo Ramirez and husband Raul, and Gabriela Grimaldo. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Raul Ramirez, Jr., Leslie Ramirez, Ariana Ramirez, Paola Grimaldo and his cousin Noe Grimaldo, along with many other family members and friends.

A Vigil and the recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at 6:00 PM, followed by a visitation with the family at the Grimaldo's residence, located at 4750 S. State Highway 19, Palestine, Texas.

On Monday, August 25, 2025, a funeral procession will depart from the Grimaldo's residence at 9:30 AM, proceeding to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where a Funeral Mass is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM. Following the Mass, the Rite of Committal and interment will take place at the family plot in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers during the service are Noe Grimaldo, Raul Ramirez, Jr., Raul Ramirez, Esteban Carmona, Jose Estaban Carmona, Jesus Carmona, Jorge Carmona, Aldo Romero, Rafael Romero, Israel Hernandez and Jonathan Grimaldo.
