Rene Langner Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rene J. Langner.

A visionary inventor whose work has touched the lives of countless individuals. Rene gifted his presence to this world for 86 years.

Rene's parents Aga and Irmgard Langner were both from Germany. Rene and his brother were both raised in Pleasantville, NY. Rene's earliest years included his love for tinkering with watches, clocks and anything mechanical.

Rene Langner is a Veteran, Air National Guard 1958. At the age of 19 he was part of the Mechanical team, the A3C, that worked on the B-52 in New York.

Rene Langner is an Alumni of Northeastern University, Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. Before his career started he had 6 year apprenticeship with M Bosch.

Rene's life long career of Mechanical Engineering design started before 1969 at Bio Physics with a team of scientists. Then Ortho Diagnostic Systems, a Division of Johnson and Johnson. Rene was also part of the team of Mechanical Engineer Design at Precision Systems starting in 1984.

Rene's many natural technical achievements were combined with his gentle personality and sweet nature. Rene will always be felt in our hearts. Rene loved his family, being around his science community, astronomy, bird watching, cycling and walking marathons

Rene Langner is preceded in death by his beloved wife Betty Langner and his cherished daughter Wendy Koefoed.

His surviving daughter Justine Sanchez and immediate family members will hold a private memorial gathering to be held in honor of his life on June 21, 2025.
