Dr. Rodriguez was an excellent professor and a kind person. I took several courses with him at UCF in the late 1990s, and it was partly due to his encouragement that I majored in Mathematics. I loved his teaching style, and I enjoyed the conversations I had with him. I'm saddened to learn of his passing.

I was surfing the internet and was sorry to hear that Professor Rodriguez had passed away in 2013. I had him in Spring, 1987 at the University of Central Florida in a Concepts of Calculus class. I found him to be a professional and sincere person. R.I.P.

I can't believe you've been gone almost a year. The holidays were rough, having this been the first season without you.

Miss you, Dad.

Death leaves a heartache that no one can heal. Love leaves memories that no one can steal. An old Irish saying.

I've known Sonny my entire life. Sonny was the son that any father would want.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Sonny's family.

I remember Rene as a very straightforward, helpful, and pleasant person. He was a tremendously dedicated teacher. He was both a colleague and a friend. He will be missed.
