Renee Renick, 59, passed away peacefully at home October 13, 2025 surrounded by family. Born in Ravenna, Ohio to Roger and Joan (Staten) Diehl, she resided in the Akron, Ohio area all of her life. Renee worked as both a babysitter and a home health aide for many years. She was a proud member of the Waterloo Marching Band in her younger days and she also spent several years singing in the Grace Cathedral church choir. Renee enjoyed hiking, exploring caverns, snuggling with her dogs and grandpups, spending time with her family and being Gram to her 3 grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her daughter, Allison Renick, she will be sadly missed by her husband of 36 years, Jim Renick; sons, Jake (Angela) Renick, Lucas Renick; grandchildren, Jett, Cyrus, Finleigh: parents, Roger and Joan Diehl; brother, Dan (Eve) Diehl; in-laws, Jim and Linda Renick.

The family would like to thank the staff of Cleveland Clinic Hospice for their loving care of Renee.

Family and friends are invited to visit Saturday, October 18, 2025 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Mogadore. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Renee's name to the charity of their choice.
