Scott Thomas Taylor joined his parents Donald and Kathleen "Kiti" {Wiencek} Taylor in Heaven on March 18, 2026. Scott was born on January 21, 1961 and spent most of his childhood in Lakewood, Ohio, before his family moved to Richfield.

Scott had the vision of an artist and the soul of a poet. He was a huge music fan and a talented multi-instrumentalist himself, but his true passion was playing guitar. He loved art in all its forms and supported many local artists, bands and venues. He was especially fond of original music and poetry.

Scott adored the outdoors and could usually be found hiking trails with his children, grandchildren and many friends, or strolling the woods alone. He found solace in the music of the earth, the wind in the trees, the birds singing or the sound of a nearby stream.

He joins in Heaven his parents Don and Kiti, and his brother Christopher. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Meriah (David), Adrian (Siang), Renee (Zeke), Curtis, Corinne, Brandy (Rob), Angela (Andy), Hanah (Alex), and Savana. He also leaves his grandchildren, Karder, Dawson, Laiken, Yeyint, Simon, Nolan, Layne and Matthew; brother, Paul (Lori); sister Christina; his nephew Ryan, and many other cousins, family, and friends. He will also be fondly remembered by his former wife Michelle; friend of 45 years and Meriah's mother, Lorie; his friend, Whitney; and his loving cat, Stink Bug.

Scott's kind spirit, unwavering support for the arts, and profound connection to nature touched countless lives. He cultivated a wide network of friends and extended family, all of whom will deeply miss his presence, his wisdom, and his unique perspective. He would want us all to honor his memory by continuing to support local music and art, just as he would.

In tribute to his passions, we encourage exploring the original sounds of "Time Cat," his favorite local band in Akron. For those wishing to honor Scott's memory through a charitable contribution, please consider supporting local music initiatives and The Summit Metro Parks Hiking Spree Fund - Summit Metro Parks Foundation.
