Reneé Lose Turchetta, 55, passed away at her home, with her family by her side, on August 6, 2024. A loving wife and mother, fierce friend, and devoted family member, Renee brought joy into the lives of everyone she touched. Born in Opelika, she made Huntsville her home since the early 90's, where she volunteered at Chaffee Elementary School for many years. Before taking on her most important job, as a mom, Renee had a successful career in business, including managing The Gap. She enjoyed photography and shared her skills by taking years of family photos for all occasions. Renee had a gift for seeing things more vibrantly than others, and she captured that in her pictures. Renee's strength was undeniable, as she fought a 15-year battle with breast cancer. Never complaining, she always found a way to focus on the positive and spread that positivity to others.
Renee is survived by her loving husband, Gary S. Turchetta; her children, Aislin, Brendan and Carley; her mother, Jo Ann Lose; her father-in-law, Gary J. Turchetta; her siblings, Vickey, Amanda, Andy, Kellie, Tracie, Betsy, Chris, Mike, Terri, and Christie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who all loved her dearly. She is preceded in death by her father, Howard Lose; her mother-in-law, Kathleen Turchetta; and her nephew, Jacob.
Visitation will be from 10:00AM to 12:00PM on Saturday August 10, 2024, at Willowbrook Baptist Church, 7625 Bailey Cove Road SE Huntsville, AL 35802 followed by a "Celebration of Life" at 12:00PM with Pastor Steve Lacey officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Russel Hill Cancer Foundation at Clearview Cancer Institute.
