Ms. Reona Belcher, 67, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024 at Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center.
Funeral Service for Ms. Belcher will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, 2:00 P.M. at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 1020 Mission Road, SW, Cartersville, Georgia 30120. She will lie in-state from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service. Interment will follow the service at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Reona was born on February 27, 1957 to the late Catherine and Leroy Belcher. She was a warrior in every sense, facing life's challenges with Grace and Strength. On Friday, July 19, 2024 our dearly beloved Reona passed away at Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center. Her dedication to helping others, along with her passion for working with her church family at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, was a motivation to all that knew her.
Reona was educated in the Bartow County School System attending Summer Hill High School and graduating from Cass High School with the Class of 1975. After graduation she attended Mississippi State University on a Basketball Scholarship, continuing her pursuit of many endeavors. The legacy that she leaves behind is one of perseverance, love and unwavering support for those that she cared about.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Kathy Rogers.
Reona leaves to cherish her memories, brother, Garrick "Gary" Belcher; loving partner, Jeffrey Bryant; niece and nephew, Tori and Rory; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
