Reta Sessions

Reta McDonald Sessions was born January 16, 1935 to Elma Alder and Walter McDonald in Heber City, Utah. She returned to her loving Father in Heaven on November 25, 2025.

Reta grew up and spent her entire lifetime in the neighborhood she was born and raised in. She enjoyed playing on the Wasatch High School basketball, softball and track teams. She was a graduate of Wasatch High School Class of 1953.

Reta fell in love with and married the boy next door Donald Robert Sessions June 24,1955. They were married in her mother's living room.

Reta was a devoted daughter, wife and mother of three sons. Howard ( Blanche ) Kent (Lisa) and Gary (Bonnie). All three sons raised their families in Heber Valley.

The memories she most treasured were of the family spending summers camping and fishing at Strawberry Reservoir, as well as pheasant hunting trips out to the basin and following her grandkids at the high school rodeo. Reta enjoyed bowling on a couple's league with Don and a ladies league weekly. She was a very hard worker. She and Don together built Sessions Plumbing where she managed the part store out of their garage. She worked as a dental assistant, the cannery, and sewing factory. She carpooled into Salt Lake with her dad to work in the Five and Dime while Don was in the Koren War.

Reta is survived by her three children Howard, Kent and Gary, eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, sister Donna, brothers Ivan (Sharon) and Rex (Mary Ann)

Proceeded in death by her parents, husband Don, siblings Grant, Ruth, Nile and Max
