Reverend David Calvin Murdock Sr. , 85 of Manahawkin, NJ passed away on Friday December 27th, 2024. David was born in Ft. Lauderdale , Florida and spent his life living in NewJersey ,Colorado, Illinois, California , Virginia and Florida .
After getting married and starting a family , David came to know the Lord as his personal Savior and went on to NorthEastern Bible College and Denver Theological Seminary.
David worked as Senior pastor at Manahawkin Baptist Church in Manahawkin, NJ.,Grace Calvary Chapel in Ship Bottom, NJ, First Baptist in Wheaton, Ill , La Crescenta Baptist in La Crescenta, Ca , Eureka Baptist in Charlotte Courthouse , Va . After retiring to Florida with his wife Diane , he was still very active in local churches and did guest speaking quite often .
David is predeceased by his parents J.C. and Florence and wife Diane.He is survived by his loving children David C. Murdock Jr. and wife Yolande of Manahawkin, NJ, Lisa Padula and husband Daryl of Manahawkin, NJ and Lauri McConkey and husband Johnnie of Palm Bay, FL, brother Stephen, sisters Sharon, Margaret and Kathy, 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Cremation will be private, and a memorial service will be arranged at a later date. Please check back for details.
