Rev. Johnny Huff
Aiken, SC—A celebration of life service for Rev. Johnny Huff, age 90, will be held 11:00 am Tuesday June 24, 2025, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel with Rv. Mitchell Huff officiating. Interment will follow at Graniteville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Greg Vance, Ryan Buffett, Tim Huff, Kevin Huff, John Huff, and Jeremy Hall. Rev. Huff entered into rest on Saturday June 21, 2025, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. He was the beloved husband of Mrs. Doretta Lampert Huff and a son to the late Mr. Donovan Douglas Huff and the late Mrs. Fannie Woolan Huff. Rev. Huff was a native of Logan, WV, but had made the Aiken area his home since 1976. He was the pastor of the Old Time Gospel Church, starting it in 1994. He retired in ministry in 2020. Rev. Huff also worked for ASCO, retiring in 2004. His hobbies included woodworking, gardening, singing, playing music, and telling stories. His most important attribute was his dedication to Jesus Christ. He was loved by his family and friends and will be deeply missed. Additional survivors include: two sons John (Leigh) Huff, Springfield, SC, and Tim (Amy) Huff, Pickens, SC; two daughters Sharon Mills, Aiken, and Deborah (Frederick) Boyd, Aiken; a former daughter-in-law Vonja Szatkowski, Columbia; nine grandchildren Donna Bargstedt, Kimberly Mills McCulloch, Patty Lloyd Compton, Jonathon Boyd, Mitchell Huff, Aly Buffett, Kelly Vance, Christine Hall, and Kevin Huff; and 15 great grandchildren. Rev. Huff was preceded in death by: one daughter Tamela Denise Huff; four brothers Elmo, Tom, Jack, and Bill Huff; three sisters Pearl, Betty, and Joanna; one son-in-law Charles Ray Mills; and one granddaughter Elizabeth Ashley Boyd. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital www.stjude.org. A visitation with the family will take place from 6-8 pm on Monday June 23, 2025, at COLE FUNERAL HOME 1544 UNIVERSITY PKWY (118 BYPASS) AIKEN, SC 29801 803-648-7175.
