Geraldine Williams Chalker
Beech Island, SC—Ms. Geraldine Williams Chalker, age 84, entered into rest on Wednesday August 20, 2025, at Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center. She was a beloved daughter of the late Mr. Thomas “Tom” H. Williams and the late Mrs. Hattie Lamb Williams. Ms. Chalker was born in Mitchell, GA, and was a lifelong resident of the CSRA. She was of the Christian faith. She loved gardening, fishing, and listening to old country music; but most of all, she was proud to be the matriarch of five generations. She loved her family dearly and will be deeply missed. Survivors include: her children Blenda (Robert) Cook, Windsor, SC, Marie Collier, Beech Island, SC, Richard (Louise) Chalker, Augusta, GA, and Travis (Tammy) Chalker, Little Rock, AR; one sister Christine Selby, Ada, OK; five grandchildren Dewena Byrd, Phillip Byrd, Amy Burgess, David Hopkins, and Alyssa Kim; and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Ms. Chalker was preceded in death by one daughter Shirley Hopkins. A private service with the family will take place at a later date.
