Beech Island, SC—A celebration of life service for Mr. Larry Lamar Bryant, age 63, will be held at 5:00 pm Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Christian Heritage Church with Pastor Stephen Phillips and Pastor Jonathan Randall officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the United States Army. Mr. Bryant entered into rest on Wednesday August 27, 2025 at Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center – Downtown Division. He was the beloved husband of Mrs. Dawn Mobley Bryant and a son to the late Mr. Willie Bryant, Sr., and the late Mrs. Claudia Irene Holley Bryant. Mr. Bryant was a native and lifelong resident of the CSRA. He was a Christian and was a long time member of Christian Heritage Church. Mr. Bryant served in the United States Army. He spent three years in Hawaii and was deployed to Korea on multiple occasions. He was a loyal employee of the City of North Augusta in water production for over twenty five years. Mr. Bryant enjoyed many different pastimes such as going to flea markets and spending time in swap meets, the outdoors, watching old westerns, going fishing, and cooking and grilling. He was a man that was good with his hands, making everything he touched better. Mr. Bryant loved his family with a fierce passion. He was known as the fun uncle. Mr. Bryant was the best husband, father, and grandpa ever and was affectionately known as Grumpy. He loved spending time with his family, especially when it came to playing with the kids. Mr. Bryant was athletic. He loved the game of football, was a church softball legend, and spent some time coaching. He was a gentle spirit, loyal, protective, reliable; he truly listened and strived to be present in the moment. He was young at heart and always enjoyed having a good time. He offered many words of wisdom when needed. Mr. Bryant was the staple of his family, and the definition of what it means to be a good, godly man. He was loved by his family, and will be deeply missed. Survivors include: his loving wife Mrs. Dawn Mobley Bryant, Beech Island; his daughter Rebekah (Justin Inman) Bryant, Trenton; his bonus daughters Miranda (Tavis) Whitson, Beech Island, Jennifer (TJ) Farrer, Vaucluse, and Carolyn (Tomas) Cullipher, Beech Island; two sisters Patricia (Stan) Bryant Blackmon, Beech Island, and Debra (Mike) Bryant Bailey, Aiken; his brother-in-law Jason Mobley (brother from another mother), Erin, TN; eight grandchildren Emma Sonnet Inman, Kaylie and Zachary Whitson, Grady, Kimberly, and Matthew Farrer, Emily Sirard, and Thomas Cullipher; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews; and his two fur babies Chewy and Molly. Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by: his first love and first wife of thirty years Carlene Fulmer Bryant; three brothers Willie “Buster” Bryant, Jr., Jimmie Bryant, and James Bryant; and one sister Joan Bryant.
