Rev. Pearlean Parrish Obituary
Rev. Pearlean Norris Parrish, age 97, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025 at the Carrolton in Dunn, NC. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM-Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC. Rev. David Denton will officiate. Burial will follow in the McLamb Family Cemetery in Benson, NC. Rev. Donald Baldwin will officiate.
Pearlean was born on March 25, 1928 in Johnston County, NC to the late Lonnie Norris and Nicey Hardison Norris Moore. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Levon Parrish, a daughter, Lucy Yvonne Parrish, and several brothers and sisters. Pearlean dedicated her life to Jesus, and her daughter, Lucy. After her husband, Levon passed away Pearlean and Lucy, walked many paths together, and enjoyed eating at McDonalds, Smithfield’s, and the Robbins Nest in Selma, NC. They made so many friends, and touched many lives along the way. She was also a retired seamstress, working over 32 years at the Block Shirt Factory in Benson, NC. She was a member of Community Chapel Church, where she also was the pastor for many years.
Survivors include many loving nieces, nephews, and many friends.
The family wishes to express their thanks to the many caregivers that have shown love and care to Pearlean and Lucy.
The family will receive friends from 10:00AM-10:45AM-Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to the McLamb Family Cemetery, C/O Phil Moore 343 Weeks Road, Dunn, NC 28334.
