Reva Madge Gartin

Reva Madge Gartin (Woodard) peacefully went to join her Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. Reva was born in Topeka, Kansas on August 27, 1932 to Ralph Woodard and Oletta Moore (Gilmore). Reva was the oldest of three children and cared for her younger siblings Vernon and Marlene. Reva was preceded in death by her husband Cecil W. Gartin and daughter Teresa L. Gartin. Reva is survived by her three sons, Marc, Brad and Wayne; and daughter Ruth; 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Reva was instrumental in establishing the family electrical business C&R Electric in 1958. She worked alongside her husband Cecil building a home for her growing family and was married to Cecil for 63 years before his passing. Reva's greatest pride was her family, she was a dedicated wife and mother whose priority was caring for her family and husband through sickness and heath and caring for her aging father and father-in-law in her home.
Reva enjoyed many handicrafts such as quilting, sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She enjoyed gifting her creations to those she loved. Reva was a loyal member of her church where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school and helping in the nursery. She was a God loving woman, dedicated friend and neighbor, giving of her time and resources to help others in need. She loved her husband, children, son-in-law and daughters' in-laws, grandchildren and great grandchildren more than anything in the world.
A memorial service will be held at Bonney Watson on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 1:00pm to celebrate a life well lived and pleasing to God.
