Rex Lee Folks, 76, of Harrison, passed away peacefully at his home on February 16, 2025.
Rex was born on January 17, 1949, to Rex T. and Lorene Huff Folks, at Levelland, Texas. He had a servant's heart, answering the call to defend his country as a proud veteran of both the United States Navy and the National Guard. He bravely served in Vietnam and later in Desert Storm, demonstrating unwavering dedication and courage.
Following his military service, Rex worked as a machinist for UCP, where his strong work ethic and attention to detail left a lasting impact. In his spare time, he found joy in cooking and woodworking, crafting meals and creations with the same care and precision that defined his life.
Above all, Rex was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Brenda, with whom he shared 56 years of love, laughter, and cherished memories. His loyalty, kindness, and quiet strength will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Brenda Folks; two sons, Matt (Sheila) Folks of Harrison, and Bryan (Stacie) Folks of Harrison; five grandchildren, Ashley (Kurt) Anderson of Harrison, Casey (Trey) Brereton of Harrison, Gracie Folks of Morrilton, Gabby Folks of Harrison, and Evie Folks of Harrison; four great-grandchildren, Hadley Anderson, Cash Anderson, Kolt Anderson, and Ford Anderson; and two fur-babies, Sassy and Chiquita.
All arrangements are private, and under the direction of Holt Memorial Chapel.
Memorials may be made to Camp Jack, 411 South Pine Street, Harrison, Arkansas 72601.
