Rex L. Rathbun

Rex L. Rathbun, 71, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by friends. Rex was a Vietnam veteran who served as a helicopter mechanic in the United States Army. He spent 35 years driving tractor trailer and most recently worked at Tyoga Container. He was an avid outdoorsman, a loyal friend, and a man known for his sass and straightforward honesty. He was the son of Ralph B. Rathbun and Darlene Rathbun (Bennett). He is survived by his son, Cody Tombs, and family including sister Katherine Hussan of Las Vegas. He was preceded in death by his sister Jaqueline Casey. A service to honor Rex's life will be held at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 9 Eden Lane, Tioga, on Friday, March 6th at 4:00 p.m. Donations in his honor can be mailed to TIMQ, Inc 2513 Dean Hill Road Wellsboro PA 16901.
