Reyes R. Gonzales Jr, known affectionately as "Mad-dog" to his family and friends, passed away on September 10, 2025, at the age of 54. Born in Houston, Texas, on November 25, 1970, Reyes was a man of unwavering loyalty, compassionate heart, and an infectious sense of humor. He was someone who understood the value of laughter and the importance of making other people smile. As Mark Twain once said, "The human race has one really effective weapon, and that is laughter." Reyes wielded that weapon with grace and skill, filling the world around him with joy and laughter.

Reyes was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Tammy, who he married on August 27, 2025. His love for Tammy was a testament to his loving character, and his devotion to his dog, Chevy, demonstrated his enduring capacity for loyalty and affection. Despite being disabled and unable to work, Reyes never let his condition define him. He was a proud member of the Eagles and AMVETS, where he served with commitment and dedication. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, and playing billiards, pursuits which allowed him to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Whether he was casting a line into a tranquil lake or sharing a laugh over a game of billiards, Reyes was a man who knew how to savor every moment.

Reyes was known for his ability to find joy and contentment in life, despite its challenges. His positivity and resilience were truly inspiring, reminding all who knew him of the importance of maintaining a sense of humor in the face of adversity. As Albert Einstein once said, "Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving." Reyes embodied this spirit, never losing his balance, always moving forward, and always brightening the world with his laughter and love.
